A LARKFIELD woman has been charged lying to police about being 'assaulted and robbed'.
Elena Chavdarova, 32, is said to have made a false report to officers and caused them to investigate a spurious complaint.
Chavdarova, of Devon Road, is accused of telling officers that she had been attacked at her home on January 11.
She has pleaded not guilty to the allegation through lawyer Gerry Keenan at the sheriff court.
The case is due to call again on July 16, ahead of a trial scheduled for August 12.
