EMERGENCY services rushed to Port Glasgow's Gallagher Retail Park after a child was caught up in a two-car crash.
Police were called to a report of a crash at the roundabout which separates Next from Tesco's car park at around 10am.
Both drivers were taken to hospital as a precaution and a young child who was in one of the cars is said to be uninjured.
The two vehicles blocked the road while emergency services worked to help their passengers and drivers.
A number of police cars and several ambulances attended the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 10am on Friday, 12 April 2024, police were called to a two-vehicle road crash at the roundabout of a retail park on Russell Way, Port Glasgow.
"Two people, the drivers of each car, have been taken by ambulance to local hospitals as a precaution.
"There was a child passenger from one of the cars, but they were not injured.
"Advice and assistance has been given."
The Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
