TWO women travelled to Port Glasgow to carry out a shoplifting raid at the town's Tesco store whilst on nine sheriff court bail orders between them, it is alleged.

Charmaine Holmes, 27, and Catelin Greenaway, 25, are accused of stealing a quantity of alcohol and also household items from the supermarket shortly before last Christmas.

Holmes, of Renfrew, is said to have been on seven bail orders at the time of the alleged thefts on December 14.

The Crown says that Greenaway, of Johnstone, had been granted bail twice.

Matters have been continued without plea at Greenock Sheriff Court until May 3.
