AN assault accused Greenock man who had a warrant issued for his arrest after failing to turn up to stand trial on the matter is now due to have the case heard in four months time.
Alistair Jannetts, 42, is charged with repeatedly punching a man on the head and body at the town's Buccleugh Street on May 29 last year.
Jannetts, of Holmscroft Street, has maintained a plea of not guilty through lawyer Edel McGinty at the sheriff court.
The rescheduled trial has been set for August 12.
