PEOPLE living in north Ayr are being asked to share their views about their community.

South Ayrshire Council is developing a place plan for the Ayr North council ward, to help it identify any issues and opportunities to help those who live or work there.

A council spokesperson said: "Place plans are partnership plans that are led by the community. To help us identify any issues and opportunities that are present, we need the help of those who live or work in the area.

"As residents, you know your area better than anyone, and your views will help to inform the priorities in the next plan.

"Through our Thriving Places project, we aim to support our communities to identify local issues and develop plans to address these, ensuring our places are something we can all be proud of."

The Ayr North ward stretches from Heathfield Road/Marchfield Road in the north to the River Ayr in the south, and stretches from the North Shore in the west to the A77 in the east.

It takes in communities including Woodfield, Whitletts, Dalmilling, Newton, Wallacetown and Craigie.

Residents can have their say on how funding is spent in Ayr North by completing an online survey at https://forms.office.com/e/3xW3rdtKth.

Paper copies of the survey are available at the Lochside Community Centre, The Wallace Tower and the Working For Wallacetown Hub.
