GREENOCK actor Martin Compston posed for a picture with Scotland’s First Minister before taking part in an independence rally in Glasgow last weekend.
The Line of Duty star took part in Believe in Scotland’s rally for independence on Saturday and was pictured holding a banner and walking at the front of the march alongside First Minister Humza Yousaf.
The SNP leader took to Twitter after the march to hail the local star for taking part in the event, which saw Mr Yousaf and a host of other speakers address the crowd.
Great to have @martin_compston join us in Glasgow – the Yes City.

Lots of people here from every corner of Scotland for the @believeinscot march and rally.
People from all walks of life, marching side by side, for one simple reason – our belief in an independent Scotland 🏴 pic.twitter.com/ZZXfIEb9p8
Mr Compston has long been a supporter of the Yes Movement, previously saying that the 2014 referendum was a key moment in his life despite his disappointment at the result.
The 39-year-old actor shared a snap of himself with the First Minister on his Instagram before the march, which he captioned: "Lovely day for a walk in Glasgow is anybody's about.".
