A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after she was attacked in broad daylight in Clydebank. 

The incident happened at around 4.15pm yesterday (April 26) on Robert Burns Avenue when the 41-year-old woman was walking next to a grassy area near Kirkoswald Drive. 

She was assaulted by a man and a woman who then made off in the direction of Jean Armour Drive. 

The woman required hospital treatment following the attack. 

Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward as an investigation to find those responsible continues. 

Detective Sergeant Stuart Lindsay said: "Our investigation to trace those responsible is ongoing and we are asking anyone in the area at the time who may have seen what happened to get in touch.

"In addition, if you have private CCTV or dash-cam footage that could help our enquiries then please come forward."

The man is described as being white and in his early 20s with a medium build and light brown hair.

He was wearing light-coloured clothing. 

The woman is described as being white and in her early 40s with a medium build and dark hair.

She was wearing blue jeans.
