THERE used to be quite a variety of what are classified as city cars but not now.

Kia have stuck with the sector and a new version of their Picanto has just been announced.

The Picanto is an important model for Kia. It accounted for more than 13 per cent of UK sales last year.

Kia have refreshed the Picanto’s exterior and interior.

The latest 1.0 three-cylinder and 1.2 four-cylinder engines are said to offer enhanced efficiency and economy plus lower emissions.

Prices of the new Picanto start at £15,595 for the ‘2’ version pictured.

It may be the entry model but its specification includes navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, air conditioning, rear parking sensors and camera, and alloy wheels.

Top of the range is the GT-Line S which comes with the 1.2 engine and costs from £18,445.
