A GOUROCK man who had been charged with making murder threats and brandishing a shovel has had a warrant granted for his arrest after missing a court sentencing hearing.
Brendan Watt was due to appear in the dock last week having been convicted of two threatening and abusive behaviour offences.
The 24-year-old acted in an aggressive manner, shouted, swore and uttered derogatory remarks in an incident at a property on Shore Street in Gourock, and also in the course of a journey between there and Greenock police office in August 2022.
He was originally accused of uttering threats to murder and brandishing a shovel on the same date.
On August 26 last year, Watt shouted, swore and acted aggressively at a flat on Clynder Road in Greenock, before punching and kicking a bedroom door causing damage and smashing a glass and a plate.
