A MAN accused of breaching a bail order to shout at and make an offensive gesture towards his former partner has had his court trial delayed.

Jamie Naismith is charged with flouting the conditions of the directive requiring him to stay away from his ex.

It is alleged that the 32-year-old walked past the woman's home in Greenock on April 24 this year, shouted at her and made an offensive gesture at her, having been granted bail on December 15 last year at Greenock Sheriff Court.

Naismith, of Pentland Avenue in Port Glasgow, pleaded not guilty through solicitor Edward Sweeney during a recent calling of the case.

A trial had been due to get under way this week but it has now been pushed back until November 20.
