A GREENOCK street was cordoned off after a van collided with a lamppost.
The incident took place on Carwood Street at around 7am on Tuesday, with Inverclyde Council and police being alerted.
Officers taped off the area while workers assessed the damage.
The Telegraph understands that the road reopened a couple of hours later, after contractors removed the lamppost.
