A PORT Glasgow man is accused of pulling a door from its frame at his former partner's home having been told to stay away as part of a bail order.

Patrick Reid is charged with breaching the conditions of the court directive around two months after it was imposed in August last year.

Prosecutors say that on October 7, Reid attended at the house and repeatedly banged on the front door whilst shouting, swearing and demanding entry.

Reid, 36, allegedly refused to leave when requested to do so and repeatedly pulled at the letterbox, forcing the door from the door frame and causing damage.

It is claimed that he then entered the house uninvited and placed his ex and two children in a state of fear and alarm.

Reid, of Woodhall Terrace, is due to stand trial on July 3.
