A MAN who was allegedly in possession of a lock-back knife and quantity of controlled drugs in Port Glasgow has been arrested and charged.
Police say that officers acting on community concerns were on patrol at Moidart Road on May 14 when they stopped a 51-year-old man.
He is now facing prosecution.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “This was good work by the officers involved from the Violence Reduction Unit who work closely with the community policing team.”
Anyone who knows of issues in their area is urged to contact police via 101 and is reminded that they can remain anonymous should they wish.
