SCOTRAIL bosses have hailed the introduction of Inverclyde's new train timetable.
It came into effect on Sunday, with 30 extra services every weekday and a more frequent service between Glasgow and Wemyss Bay.
The operator says the new schedule also allows better connections between rail and the ferry terminal at Gourock.
Scott Prentice, ScotRail's strategy and planning director, said: “We listened to feedback from customers through our public consultation, and we’re confident that the changes in the new timetable will be welcomed.
“We’re encouraging customers to check their journey before they travel as some train times have changed.”
