EMERGENCY services, including air ambulance, attended a multi-vehicle collision in Inverkip this morning.
Several cars sustained significant damage in the accident, which took place on Main Street just after 8.30am.
An air ambulance was spotted on scene in the immediate aftermath of the crash.
The road was initially closed in both directions but one side later re-opened.
Police officers have been on the scene controlling traffic.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.35am on Wednesday, 19 June, we were called to a report of road crash in Main Street, Inverkip.
"Officers are in attendance and the vehicles are being recovered."
