A CLASSIC 1980s film will return to the big screen at Greenock’s Waterfront Cinema this week to mark its 40th anniversary.
Several screenings of The NeverEnding Story will at the venue, with the first taking place at 9pm on Friday.
First released in West Germany in 1984, the film grossed around $100million worldwide.
The fantasy tale sees schoolboy Bastian take refuge in an bookshop to avoid bullies.
He begins reading an old storybook, soon finding himself drawn into the mythical world of Fantasia.
Waterfront Cinema will also host showings at 5:50pm on August 3, 5, 6 and 8.
On August 4 and 7, there will be a 3:20pm screening.
