IT'S getting to that time of year again - the holidays are almost over, the school bags are being packed and the uniforms have all been bought (hopefully!).

Greenock Art Club Summer Exhibition
Talented artists from across Inverclyde will be sharing their wonderful works with the public starting this Saturday in Gourock.
Their incredible creations are being showcased as part of the Greenock Art Club's summer art exhibition and craft fair in The Stables at Gourock Park, which is next to Pet's Corner from August 10-11 and August 17-18 between 10am and 5pm.

Lady Alice Bowling Club Summer Fete
The Greenock club's ever popular fete makes its return this Saturday with a whole host of activities and events planned.
A bouncy castle, a beat the goalie challenge, bottle stalls and raffles are among the events and entertainment lined up.
The summer fete is taking place between noon and 5pm at Lady Alice Bowling Club.

Morton v Hamilton
The Ton will play their first home game of the Scottish Championship season this Saturday at Cappielow.
Dougie Imrie's men will face off against the newly promoted Hamilton Accies and both sides will be eyeing up a first win of the league season.

Greenock Players Youth presents Rock of Ages
A terrific troupe of young actors are staging three performances of a popular musical at the Beacon Arts Centre this weekend.
An hour of comedy and classic 80s rock tunes await audiences that attend Greenock Players Youth’s production of Rock Of Ages.
The performances are taking place on Friday at 7:30pm and on Saturday at 2:30pm and 7pm.

Dinosaur Adventure Live
Parents and carers seeking a roar-some activity for youngsters to cap off the summer holidays can sink their teeth into a dinosaur-themed day at the Beacon Arts Centre.
The family favourite show, coming to Greenock this weekend, should captivate both the young and young at heart with its interactive journey through the Jurassic era.
The show comes to the Beacon on Saturday, August 10 and tickets start at £17.
