CHILDREN living in Greenock's south west had lots of fun at a fully funded play scheme this summer.

St Joseph's Primary was one of the seven venues selected by Inverclyde Council and Inverclyde Leisure for the first time.

Local councillors including Tommy McVey fought to have their area included during the summer holidays in a bid to help local families.

For four weeks this summer playscheme leaders led lots of different activities for the youngsters including a pyjama and movies day.
