A TEAM working to help young people across Inverclyde welcomed dozens of families to a fantastic fun day.
Once again the youth workers from the iPromise team delivered a massive free event in Notre Dame High with more than 200 parents, carers and children coming along.
The team worked with Active Schools and Your Voice to help cut the cost of the summer holidays.
Inverclyde Council's iPromise lead, Lesley Ellis, said: "It has been a fantastic day, we have all had a brilliant time and the families have enjoyed themselves.
"Our job is to raise awareness of the rights of all children including those who are care experienced and their families.
"We are committed to improving all young peoples experiences.
"We do it every year and it is such a great event."
The fun day at Notre Dame included face painting, inflatables, games and activities for all the family.
It has been an important summer for the team following the rights of the children being enshrined into law in Scotland.
Organiser Caroline McCahill, who is the children's rights officer, said: "We just wanted to put on as fun a day as possible, playing games with the young people.
"They are having a great time."
Teenager Stuart McMaster, aged 13, was having a brilliant day.
He said: "I love coming along, it is great fun and I have had a try at everything. It is so good and I would like to thank the team for putting it in."
Greenock gran Mary Anne Barbour came along with her grandchildren Ariah Tucker, 5, Sofia Flynn 4, and Callie, Tocher, 2.
She said: "It has been a brilliant day. It is great to have something like this on your doorstep, the kids are having a great time. They are keeping me busy."
