A POIGNANT event to celebrate the completion of Inverclyde's Covid memorial will take place in Port Glasgow on Monday evening.

RIG Arts is inviting people across Inverclyde to mark the occasion with a gathering at Coronation Park from 7-8pm.

The Inverclyde Remembering Together co-created community Covid memorial comprises five labyrinths which have been added to Wemyss Bay Community Centre, Gourock Park, Well Park, Coronation Park, and Birkmyre Park.

The walkways were created by RIG Arts artist Alan Potter and volunteer group, Walk As One.

People are encouraged to walk around the labyrinths any time they feel like the need a bit of headspace.

Monday's event will see people from all over Inverclyde walk the Labyrinth of Hope at Coronation Park.

Arts activities including stone painting will be available at the free event, and refreshments will be provided.

The event is fully accessible and suitable for people of all ages.

Remembering Together was funded by the Scottish Government via Greenspace Scotland.
