A GREENOCK man is due to stand trial later this year charged with having a class A drug on him at the town’s police station.
William Robertson is accused of being in possession of the potent hallucinogen lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) at the Rue End Street office on March 4 last year.
The 38-year-old also faces an accusation of having cannabis at a former address on West Blackhall Street on the same date.
Robertson, now of Kilcreggan View, pleaded not guilty to the charges through solicitor Aidan Gallagher at the sheriff court on Friday.
Sheriff Colin Pettigrew scheduled a further hearing for next month before a trial set for October 7.
