A CALMAC ferry has departed Greenock following essential repairs to her propulsion unit.
MV Loch Fyne was removed from service earlier in the summer after being redeployed to the Largs-Cumbrae route.
The vessel usually covers the route between Mallaig and Armadale on the Isle of Skye.
Inspections of the propulsion unit indicated repairs were necessary, with the ferry entering dry dock in Greenock on Thursday last week.
Following the completion of the works, she left James Watt Dock Marina this morning to return to Largs.
A spokesperson for CalMac said: “Repairs have been completed on the Loch Fyne and she is now at Largs on standby as the second vessel, should traffic queues dictate the vessel is required."
