It has been a busy summer on the water around Inverclyde, with some of the world's largest cruise ships calling to the area.
With the world famous Queen Mary 2 arriving in Greenock on Thursday for the first time in nearly ten years, it's been a summer of milestones for the port terminal.
Here we take a look back on some of the biggest and best to visit us this summer...
JEWEL OF THE SEAS
Royal Caribbean’s Jewel of the Seas is a regular to Inverclyde and made her first appearance of the 2024 sailing season back in June amid a busy spell at the local cruise ship terminal.
The 13-deck vessel can hold 2,500 passengers and was first launched in 2004. Her on-board attractions include a casino, a poolside cinema and a 12-metre rock climbing wall.
QUEEN MARY 2
The world famous Queen Mary 2 arrived in Greenock earlier in September for the first time in nearly ten years.
As Cunard's flagship liner docked in the Ocean Terminal, the new Royal Navy frigate HMS Cardiff was getting towed to BAE Systems Scotstoun to be fitted out.
The Queen Mary 2, which can take up to 2,700 passengers, docked at the Ocean Terminal on a 12-day sail around the British Isles.
When she last visited in May 2015, thousands flocked to see her leave with a firework display as a send off.
CARIBBEAN PRINCESS
Luxurious cruise ship Caribbean Princess arrived on her only visit to Greenock for the 2024 season on September 3.
The 3,140-capacity vessel arrived in Inverclyde as part of a 14-day cruise around Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Caribbean Princess has many unique features, including her distinctive Skywalkers Nightclub. The club sits at the back of her top deck, enjoying stunning views over the water.
CARNIVAL LEGEND
Popular ship Carnival Legend was the latest large vessel to arrive at Greenock Ocean Terminal back in July.
The 88,500-tonne ship stopped off in the town as part of a nine-day trip around Britain and Ireland.
With a capacity of more than 2,000 guests, the liner, built in 2002 and christened by Judi Dench, stretches to almost 1,000ft in length.
QUEEN ANNE
The 113-000 tonne Queen Anne made her Greenock debut back in June, bringing around 3,000 passengers with her.
The enormous Cunard cruise ship stopped on the west coast on day nine of a 14-day trip around the British Isles as part of her maiden season.
Built last year, the 14-deck vessel is named after the first monarch of Great Britain and is the 249th ship to sail under the world-renowned Cunard flag.
