PORT Glasgow library is closed to the public again today following a gas leak in the surrounding area on Tuesday.
Inverclyde Council confirmed the facility will remain shut on Thursday due to ongoing work being carried out by Scottish Gas Networks on Fore Street.
The infrastructure company's engineers were called to carry out an emergency repair on the evening of Tuesday, September 10.
The local authority said it's aiming to reopen the library and confirmed a further update would be issued later today.
It apologised for the inconvenience and confirmed that all other libraries across Inverclyde would be open as usual.
