A NEW coffee shop is set to open in Gourock town centre tomorrow. 

Riviera, on 15 Kempock Street, will open its doors for the first time on Tuesday, October 1.

There is already a Riviera cafe established in Largs, North Ayrshire.

(Image: Duncan Bryceland) The front of the new eatery advertises 'breakfast, brunch, lunch' and the menu at the sister site features coffees and food including speciality omelettes, morning rolls as well as French toast, numerous egg dishes and waffles.

The cafe is to open in the unit which formerly housed the Bake House.

The popular pastry shop closed suddenly in May 2022 without explanation and has remained empty for more than a year and a half.
