DETECTIVES investigating an attempted murder in a Greenock pub are still searching for a culprit two weeks after the attack.
A 60-year-old man was left in a serious condition following the incident, which took place at The James Watt on Cathcart Street at around 6:30pm on Tuesday, September 17.
Police launched an appeal for information after the incident, but say enquiries into the incident are still ongoing.
Detective inspector Nicky Beattie previously said: “The family of the man are being supported by police and being kept up to date with the ongoing investigation.
“I am appealing to anyone that can help with our investigation to come forward.
"We believe there were a number of people within the premises at the time and I would appeal to anyone who was there on Tuesday night to speak to us if you have not already done so.
“Those with information can speak to officers by calling 101 and quoting incident number 0962 of 18 September."
