A POPULAR Gourock restaurant has announced its closure just five months after it opened.
The owners of Yvandi’s Kitchen on Hopeton Street, which opened in May, put a post on their Facebook page last night thanking everyone for their support over the last few months.
The post says: "It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Yvandi’s Kitchen.
"We want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your support over the recent months.
"It has been a privilege to serve you, and we are truly grateful for the memories and connections we’ve built together in such a short time.
It continues: "Thank you also to our amazing staff, your hard work was very much appreciated. Thank you again for being a part of the Yvandi’s Kitchen family.
"We appreciate your understanding and support during this time."
The post states that those who have paid a deposit for Christmas dinners or have purchased vouchers will be entitled to a refund.
