INVERCLYDE social work chiefs are continuing to support women in the justice system through a special scheme.
The Early Actions Systems Change - women in justice project funded by the National Lottery was set up to tackle reoffending among women.
There is a group open to females at all stages of the system but helps support them to fulfil unpaid work commitments.
They are also helped to deal with trauma and emotional regulation which is part of the offending behaviour.
The project was highlighted as good practice by local social work chiefs in their annual report by social work services into their community payback services.
