Carols at Cappielow is set to celebrate its 10th anniversary next month with a huge open-air service.

Inverclyde Christian Initiative, in association with Greenock Morton FC, will host its anniversary event on Sunday, December 15.

Speaking on behalf of the initiative, Chris Jewell urged people to join 'the largest open-air carol service in Inverclyde'.

He added: "This is a free event and we would encourage everyone to wrap up well as December can be cold.

"Supported by the Riverside Youth Band and the Port Glasgow Boys Brigade Bugle Band, and with special guests the St Andrews Shanty Singers, we are looking forward to another great occasion to celebrate the birth of Jesus and would thank everyone for their support.

"Please encourage your church family and friends and colleagues to join us for this event."

The event will run from 4pm until 5pm and tea, coffee and biscuits will be available from 3.30pm.
