A NEW part-time job opportunity has opened up with Morton in the Community, who are currently recruiting for an extra time programme lead.
The post, based across primary schools and community venues in Inverclyde, will be focused on delivering inclusive after-school multi-sport sessions and workshops.
The successful applicant will also help organise day trips and holiday camps, supporting children aged 4 to 11 with sessions that encourage confidence, healthy lifestyles, and teamwork.
Morton in the Community is the charitable arm of Greenock Morton FC.
Its programmes cover physical and mental health, education and youth development.
This new role will help deliver one of its flagship offerings — the SFA Extra Time Programme — with a mix of coaching and community outreach.
Applicants must be experienced in working with young people, and hold an HNC, NC or equivalent in sports, childcare or youth work.
Good communication, a commitment to inclusion and the ability to work afternoons and early evenings are all essential.
Additional training in first aid, safeguarding or SFA coaching is desirable.
The role is 20 hours a week on a fixed term basis through to March 2026, with an expected start date in October.
