PARTS of Inverclyde have been hit by flooding following a spell of heavy rainfall last night.

A section of Greenock's Brougham Street has been affected, with traffic slowing to pass through large puddles.

Further flooding has affected the A8 westbound, underneath the railway bridge between Langbank and Port Glasgow.

Huge puddles also formed on Union Street in Greenock last night, impacting the westbound lane and pavement.

Inverclyde is set to see a drier day today, with the Met Office predicting light winds and highs of 14 degrees.
