ALDI Scotland is inviting Inverclyde shoppers to take on Scotland’s strongest men in its first ever Highland Games inspired Supermarket Sweep.
Aldi Scotland's first-ever Highland Games-themed Supermarket Sweep will take place in stores across the country, with applicants in with a chance of competing for charity and taking home their trolley haul.
Timed to coincide with the start of the 2026 Highland Games season and the opening games in Gourock on Sunday, the event will see shoppers face off against a clock set by strongman brothers Tom and Luke Stoltman.
If participants beat the Stoltmans’ time, they will double their haul.
Sandy Mitchell, regional managing director at Aldi Scotland, said: "Supporting local suppliers and celebrating Scottish culture is central to what we do, and our first-ever Highland Games–inspired Supermarket Sweep is a fantastic way to bring those together with our community initiative.
"Teaming up with Scotland’s strongest brothers adds a real sense of fun and competition, and we’re looking forward to seeing how challengers rise to the occasion.
"It is a brilliant way to celebrate national tradition while raising valuable funds for CHAS and the life-changing support they provide to children and families across Scotland."
Entrants can apply as pairs, and the chosen duo will compete in an in-store challenge that tests strength, speed and skill.
The event will feature Highland Games-inspired activities such as haggis hurling and trolley tug o’ war.
The total value of the winners’ shop will be donated to Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS), with Aldi pledging £10,000 to the charity.
Entry is free, and customers can apply by emailing ‘Highland Sweep’, their names, phone number and chosen store to supermarketsweep@aldi.co.uk before June 10.
