TESCO is planning to demolish the upper level car park of its Greenock supermarket as part of major refurbishment of the store.
The supermarket giants have now submitted a pre-application notice to Inverclyde Council setting out their wider plans for the Dalrymple Street site.
This includes altering the remaining car park at ground level with resurfacing, changes to car park access, as well as alterations to customer entrances to the store.
Tesco also outlines proposals to add a biodiverse roof with planters, which will mean alternations to the building.
A public consultation will take place before a full planning application is submitted.
