RUNNING shoes will hit the pavement for a good cause next month as part of a popular evening race.
The Bill Elder 10k, organised by Greenock Glenpark Harriers, will take place on Friday, August 7.
Runners will set off from the Royal West of Scotland Boat Club in Inverclyde at 7pm.
All profits from this year’s event will be donated directly to The Anchor, supporting vital frontline crisis and mental health services across Inverclyde.
Entry costs £20 for club-affiliated runners and £23 for unaffiliated runners.
Runners of all abilities are welcome to take part and enjoy a post-race barbecue with free burgers, hot dogs, and vegetarian options.
Voucher prizes will be awarded in all age categories.
The Bill Elder 10k remains a key fixture in the local athletics calendar and is open to guests and clubs.
