PARTICIPANTS have been creating vibrant craft bags as part of a sustainable textiles programme in Greenock.

The Recycle Upcycle class, run by RIG Arts, is part of a broader project focused on creative reuse and sustainability in textiles.

It encourages participants to develop sewing and design skills using repurposed materials.

The bags are designed to store tools such as scissors, threads and other sewing accessories.

The Recycle Upcycle project is funded by the Scottish Government Investing in Communities Fund and aims to promote creativity, sustainability and community participation through textile arts.

The project takes place every Monday from 2.30-4.30pm at the Broomhill Art Flat in Broomhill Court on Ann Street.

The bags are made from reused fabric and materials.
