A GREENOCK bathroom business has been recognised for their customer service by a national awards body.

HPD Bathroom Design Centres and Showrooms are shortlisted as finalists in the 'Outstanding Customer Service' category in the Scottish Home Improvement Awards 2026.

It comes as the company get set to invest both in another showroom and also in their young workforce.

HPD said the nomination was recognition for its Greenock team and its work with customers.

HPD manager Craig Sorrell said: “Being shortlisted as a finalist in the category of outstanding customer service means an enormous amount to us, because it's recognition of our Greenock team and the way they look after our customers each and every day.”

Mr Sorrell said: “We're equally excited about what's coming next. Our new Villeroy & Boch showroom will be opening next month and we can't wait for local customers to see the new displays and chat to our team.

“We want people across Greenock and Inverclyde to know that if they're considering a new bathroom, there's a fantastic showroom, beautiful products and a friendly, knowledgeable team right here on their doorstep.”

The company also highlighted the progress of 18-year-old Hamza Alawad. He first joined HPD for work experience from West College Scotland and has since become a permanent member of staff.

Hamza is training to become a branch manager and showroom consultant. HPD said he had developed his knowledge and customer service skills over the past year with support from the Greenock team.

Their new Villeroy & Boch showroom is due to open in Greenock next month. It will include bathroom displays from the international bathroom brand.

Greenock branch manager Craig Sorrell has been recognised by the business for his industry knowledge and for helping customers find suitable solutions.

HPD will represent Greenock in the Outstanding Customer Service category at the Scottish Home Improvement Awards final in Glasgow on September 18.
