HALLOWEEN proved a frightfully good time for Inverclyde's youngsters and older residents alike thanks to RIG Arts.
A series of community events took place at the Craigend Resource Centre, including a toddler party, a primary-aged children's party and craft activities for older people.
All the events were paid for through a grant as part of the Galoshans Festival, with a total of 150 people taking part across the three Halloween activities.
Stephanie McCabe, admin at the centre, said: "We must have had about 70 primary-aged kids at the party.
"There were loads of local kids from the area, we knew them all.
"We had a Minion, witches and wolves."
Youngsters and their parents went all out for the occasion with their Halloween outfits, while a DJ provided the entertainment with party games including musical statues and bumps.
Stephanie said: "The kids and their parents went to a lot of effort with the costumes.
"Everyone had a great time.
"It was a great atmosphere."
Hot dogs, snacks and party bags were also handed out at the event.
The grant supported a toddler party featuring music and movement activities from Boogie Bugs as well as a pumpkin-painting session for the centre's Chit Chat group.
Stephanie said the funding meant the centre could put on activities for different generations while keeping them free for families.
She added: "We wouldn't have been able to hold so many events without the grant and there was something for everyone in the community.
"It can be an expensive time for parents, getting kids to dress up and there might be more than one event and sometimes you have to pay to get in.
"It was good to have something free and it was needed. You could tell by how busy it was."
