UNPAID carers in Inverclyde are being invited to an afternoon tea event offering advice, support and a chance to meet others.

Carers Gateway Inverclyde will host the gathering at The Albany, 10 Orangefield Place, Greenock, on Thursday, November 19, from 12pm to 2.30pm.

The event forms part of Carers Rights Day 2026, which aims to help unpaid carers understand their rights and access support services.

Attendees will be able to enjoy refreshments, meet people in similar situations, and learn about help available locally.

Information will also be provided to help them manage their caring responsibilities.

Anyone wishing to attend is asked to register their interest in advance. Organisers said an expression of interest does not guarantee a place.

People needing help with registration can contact Carers Gateway Inverclyde on 01475 602700.
