GREENOCK based Elite Academy of Dance have much to be happy about as they celebrate their 15th birthday in the coming year and a decade of their Silver Swans over-fifties dance class this year.
Julie Kavanagh (nee Gunn), who runs the Royal Academy Classical Ballet School in Watt Street, has led many aspiring dancers to dance success, and here we see just some of the highlights at the popular dance school that have appeared in the pages of the Telegraph over the years.

Pic3: Dancers of the school's Alba Ballet Company posed up for this picture with certificates they had gained for outstanding production and performance in prestigious stage dance awards in 2016.
Pic4: Dance student Rachel Ashmead joined pupils for this picture after she was offered places in no less than five top-flight courses after her time at Elite. Rachel had the choice of attending Northern Ballet in Manchester, Ballet West in Oban, Edinburgh College, Reid Kerr College and MGA Academy of Performing Arts in Edinburgh.
