WELL said Councillor Tommy McVey ('Councillor critical of ‘half-baked’ station proposal', Telegraph, December 27).
He is the first councillor or local politician to say something sensible about the shenanigans surrounding the Greenock Police Station.
Reader, look close at what the police have said about this. It's gobbledygook.
They must think we are all severe halfwits.
Where is the money coming for the proposed new cop shop?
Where and when will it be built?
And will there be custody suites in it?
Reader, what they are telling us is utter tripe.
When I was at university my professor told me it is not what people tell you that matters, it's what they don't.
In my opinion, the senior cops who are telling us this stuff do not know what's going to happen.
They have been told to say what they are and are being paid to say it!
