TELE photographer George Munro's pick of the week
Pic1: It took a bit of work to coax modest Co-op worker Bryan Sharkey to pose up for the Tele camera after he raised £1,000 for cancer charities. But with some help from his supporting colleagues, he stepped forward to hopefully encourage others to follow his example.
Pic2: I took this pic of councillors Michael McCormick, Francesca Brennan and Jim Clocherty as they celebrated the start of the much-anticipated redevelopment of Greenock town centre. Nobody can be in any doubt that any attempt to improve the ailing West Blackhall Street area can only be a good thing.
Pic3: It is always a great pleasure for us to visit Hillend Children's Centre, and it was particularly nice to be invited along to wish nursery nurse Theresa McGoldrick all the best on her retirement after 40 years of service.
Pic4: I headed out to see how Scottish Water workers reacted to a pipe burst that left 12,000 local homes without supplies after a major rupture near Whinhill Primary School in Greenock.
This shot shows water teams handing out crates of bottled water to the public at an emergency supply centre set up at Inverclyde Academy.
