TELE photographer George Munro rounds up the week in pictures.
Pic1: Why the notorious channelised junction on Gourock's Shore Street was ever built is a mystery to many who are regularly caught in circular roadblocks and last-minute manoeuvres by confused drivers visiting the town. This shot shows yet another accident where a van collided with a car at the junction, resulting in the driver and passenger of the car being taken to hospital.
Pic2: Tele reporter Susan Lochrie and I had fun visiting the children of Rainbow Family Centre as they enjoyed am exciting new addition to their play area. Belville Community Garden skills advisor John McLennan welcomed the kids aboard a stunning Bellville-built sailing ship that is sure to fire up the imaginations of all who sail on her.
Pic3: Inverclyde Music Festival president Isobel Lind braved sub-zero temperatures to herald its return to Greenock Town Hall for the 97th year. Isobel happily posed up for this fun picture and is hoping to see people turn out to support the talented singers, musicians and dancers vying for those coveted cups and certificates.
Pic4: I took this picture of the work taking place at the new luxury housing development on the site of the now-demolished Greenock Academy.
Foundations and services are nearing completion, and construction of the dwellings will begin soon.
