THESE talented young footballers from Lady Alice Primary won the McLean Cup in 1972.
Alex Coulter, who was the team captain and can be seen in the middle of the front row, told me Lady Alice beat Craigieknowes Primary in a replay of the final at Cappielow by one goal to nil with Stewart Gibson being the scorer.
The gentleman in the picture was the school janitor who managed the team but Alex cannot recall his name.
