I AM so excited to tell you that I got to share a dinner table with The Prime Minister!

OK, not David Cameron, but Alex Stubb who is the current PM in Finland.

As you know my husband Jonatan is Finnish, and we were delighted to be sat with the head of state and his wife and kids at our mutual friend’s wedding.

What an honour! He is such a great guy with a lovely family.

Musical extravaganza!

Broadway is coming to Inverclyde for one night only! From ‘Guys and Dolls’, to ‘Singing In The Rain’, you can enjoy songs from your favourite musicals accompanied by a full orchestra.

I will be compering this spectacular event, which is all in aid of Dreams Come True charity. Local choirs and theatre groups have come together to put on a great show, so come along!

Saturday September 13th from 7.30 at Greenock Town Hall. Tickets £12 available from Adlib, Jamaica Street.

Edinburgh Fringe It’s Edinburgh Festival time again and I can’t wait to get through to see some shows!

The atmosphere in the capital is just amazing and there is something for everyone to enjoy.

My pick this year is ‘A Game of Soldiers’.

A new play by Joe McArdle, it examines the relationship between soldiers and Iraqi civilians and asks some hard questions through barrack banter and black humour.

It stars my friend Atta Yaqub and Port Glasgow actor Craig-Anthony Ralston!!

For something a bit lighter, I recommend ex Pop Idol winner Michelle McManus’s One-woman show. Its called ‘Reality: The Musical” and knowing Michelle, it’ll be full of laughs (and big ballads!). www.edfringe.com/ Back To School I’m sure all of us parents are slightly relieved the little ones are back to school (or in my case nursery), next week.

It’s been a long old summer, but the good weather has been a bonus and Junior and I have enjoyed lots of outdoor activities.

We will end our holiday in style by going to the ‘Back to Skool Pool Party’ at waterfront leisure complex, this Sunday 17th, from 2.30pm.

A DJ and inflatables guarantee a splashing good time and a great way to end the summer hols!
