DURING the cost of living crisis, which is decimating household budgets, the Labour leader of Inverclyde Council is considering adding to that burden by hiking up council tax - even though his colleagues in North Lanarkshire have agreed to a freeze.
At the same time, the Scottish Government has committed to a fully-funded council tax freeze for all councils to support households during these tough times.
Politics is ultimately about choices.
What is more important....hard-pressed families trying to make ends meet, or a council leader who wishes to increase their taxes?
