GREENOCK cricketer Richie Berrington had a disappointing two days on international duty with Scotland as the national side shared the spoils with the Netherlands.

The former Glenpark ace scored just one run in two days of rain-hit action against the Dutch at his new club ground Titwood — home to Clydesdale.

The 27-year-old and his Scotland team-mates struggled on day one of the three-day series as they slumped to a 44-run defeat.

But the team bounced back on day two last week when Calum MacLeod hit 145 as Scotland levelled the score.

The third and final match was given every opportunity to go ahead but the rain halted proceedings and both team captains shook hands on the draw.
