Former Hamilton Accies and Aberdeen winger Quitongo, below, has trained with the Under-20s over pre-season and impressed in friendlies against BSC Glasgow and Greenock Juniors.
He was recently included in the Ton team photo ahead of the new campaign, and Duffy confirmed the 17-year-old will be offered a deal.
He told the Tele: “We’re going to sign Jai. He’s only 17 so that will be for Andy Millen’s development squad, who he has been in with for the last month or so.” l Meanwhile, crocked defender Frank McKeown has undergone a scan on his knee and is waiting for an appointment to see a consultant to discover the extent of the injury.
