ROMARIO Sabajo will be allowed to leave Morton when his short-term deal expires next month, the Tele can reveal.

The Dutchman joined the club in the summer, penning a deal until the end of the year after a promising trial period.

But he has found first-team chances hard to come by with the side in such good form.

Ton boss Jim Duffy felt that it would be in the 26-year-old's best interests to return home to his family rather than be a squad player in Scotland.

Speaking exclusively to the Tele, Duffy revealed: “We didn’t offer Romario Sabajo an extension to his contract, so he’s going to finish up.

“I think he made some terrific contributions to us, but in the area that he plays we have Bobby Barr, Stef McCluskey and young Jai Quitongo.

“And I just feel that with his family over in Holland and for what we pay for a squad player it’s better for him to go home.

“He’s a terrific boy and we wish him well and good luck.”
