BOB McHugh is relieved Morton have lined up a bounce game this weekend to keep the players match sharp during the international break.
Jim Duffy’s men are set to face East Kilbride after international fixtures left his side without a league game until November 21, when they face Dunfermline at East End Park.
The striker is pleased to face the Lowland League outfit in a closed-door game as it will keep the Ton players match fit and he believes a strong performance can help them bounce back from Saturday’s disappointing defeat to Queen of the South.
The 26-year-old told the Tele: “It obviously won’t be quite the same as a league game but after a defeat you’re wanting your next game to come quickly.
“It’s another chance to get that performance back.
“Obviously whenever you’re playing with confidence it makes you a better player because you’re enjoying things more.
“If you’re confident you’re usually winning and if you’re a striker playing with that it’s far better for you. I’d always prefer to be going into every game with a win regardless of whether it’s a game behind closed doors or a competitive game.”
