A GROUP of Morton fans have designs on seeing the strip they created worn by their heroes — and now Tele readers can help turn their dream into a reality.

Supporters young and old were given the chance to help the club create the new home kit the team will wear next season.

Today we can unveil the final 12, and now it’s over to you, the fans, to choose your favourite and see the winner’s design turned into the team’s colours.

You can vote using the coupon which will be on page three of the Telegraph from tomorrow, with voting open now through until November 22.

All votes should be handed in or posted to the Telegraph office in Crawfurd Street or Cappielow by that date.

At that point, the four strips with the highest number of votes will be created and put on public display in Smiths in West Blackhall Street on December 14.

Voting will then reopen, with the opportunity to vote in Smiths for free, or in the Telegraph, where votes will count DOUBLE.

Voting will be open until December 18, at which point votes from the Telegraph and those registered at Smiths will be counted and the winner announced.

Jonathan Mitchell, media and communications officer at the club, said: “The top 12 have been whittled down from hundreds of entries. “We now have a dozen worthy candidates and I’m sure the team would be proud to wear any of these at home next season.

“This tie in with the Greenock Telegraph was a huge success last time around for the away kit and the club very much looks forward to listening to the fans when it comes to the home kit for the new season.

“We look forward to seeing what our supporters pick out as their favourites to decide their final four.”

Morton chief executive Warren Hawke added: “The designs were very creative and we’ve tried to include a bit of variety for people to choose from.

“On behalf of the club I would like to thank all of those who took part for their efforts.”
